This week we are diving into the end of Alan Davis’ run on Excalibur. Q’s white elephant gift to us all gives us the warpies story line, as well as the return of the Dark Phoenix.
Mix the absinthe, syrup, and soda water in a smaller glass (a perigord absinthe glass is used in the picture) until the drink becomes opalescent. Add ice if you prefer the drink really cold. Before serving, add the Zwack and grenadine. Both will settle nicely, leaving a nice orange on the top and a deep crimson below.
Unfortunately, Phoenix Downs may not be 100% effective when raising the dead.

Were still scratching out heads about this one. It all started with our confusion about the title, and got worse from there. This week were reading the surreal Manga parody, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Try getting your spell check not to freak out over that combination of letters.
Todd's recomendation this week is a beer from unibrew called Terrible. This dark black heavy beer is corked like champagne starts and continues to ferment while its in the bottle. It also describes Todd's feelings on this book.

We begin our Halloween celebration. For the month of October we’re focusing our attentions on the darker side of comics. This week we are discussing the Alaskan Vampire book 30 Days of Book. A failed screen play, turned into a comic, then optioned for a movie. Cause that’s how Hollywood works kids.

Its time for some non-cannon fun with Dark Empire. A star wars comic from Dark Horse. Luke dabbles in the dark side, Leia becomes a Jedi, wackyness ensues.
Shake all ingredients together until chilled. It feels like a play on the white russian, but it actaully tastes closer to a creamsicle.
