Ep 107 - Batman: War Crimes - Show Notes

This Month: Tensions escalate and war comes to Gotham City when Batman is drawn into a skirmish between rival gangs. As Gotham’s biggest gang battle ignites, Batman must call on all his available allies—Oracle, Batgirl, Nightwing, Orpheus, Onyx and Tarantula—to preserve life and contain the chaos while trying to determine who started this outbreak of violence. Plus, Tim Drake must abandon his role as Robin and Batman gets an unexpected (and unwelcome) replacement in the form of Spoiler.

This Just In.... - Every time there is a news broadcast.  Take a drink. 

And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn’t for that darn Bat! - Anytime you see Black Mask in the bat-suit without the cowl, take a drink.

I never thought the joker was protective - Every time the joker wants to be the one to beat people up, take a drink.  

You Sassy Bitch - Whenever Alfred is a smart ass to Batman, take a drink.  

Cocktail 

Red Robin 

  • 1⁄4 ounce grenadine
  • 1⁄2 ounce orgeat syrup
  • 1⁄2 ounce white rum
  • 1⁄2 ounce orange Curacao
  • 1 ounce orange juice
  • 1 ounce prepared sweet-and-sour mix
  • 2 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1⁄2 ounce Bacardi dark rum
  • 1⁄2 ounce Meyer's dark rum

DIRECTIONS

  • Add grenadine and orgeat into a bottom of glass.
  • Mound ice into glass.
  • Add white rum and orange curaco.
  • Add OJ, sweet and sour, and pineapple juices.
  • “Float" Bacardi dark rum and Myers dark rum on top.

Black Mask

  • 5 Blackberries
  • 2 oz Spiced rum
  • 3/4 oz Simple syrup
  • 3/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz Egg white
  • 1 barspoon Activated charcoal
  • Garnish: Angostura bitters
  • Glass: Coupe
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the blackberries in a shaker.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, and dry-shake (without ice) until the egg white turns foamy, for 20 seconds.
  3. Add ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled.
  4. Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  5. Garnish with 3 dashes of Angostura bitters

The Murderer

  • 1/2 ounce vodka
  • 1/2 ounce midair
  • 1/2 ounce amaretto
  • 4 ounce cranberry juice
  • 1 slice lime wheel

Blood on The Doctors Hands

Equal parts

  • Cherry Liquor
  • Vodka

Mix to together and shake the shit out of it.

Switch! - Every time a member of the Bat-family leaves one battle for another one, take a drink!

Don’t Worry Be Happy - Any time Black Mask is strutting down the street without a care in the world, take a drink. 

Batman’s a Chick? - Take a few drinks during the sequence when Batgirl is kicking some major ass.

Screw It, Let’s Just Kill Them All - Every time the GCPD mentions that they have shoot to kill orders, take a drink. 

Cocktails 

Flaming Sambuca

  • 1 oz Black Sambuca
  • 3 Coffee Beans

Put 3 coffee beans in a shot glass and add the Sambuca. Light the Sambuca and let burn for 10 seconds or so. Cover the glass with your hand to extinguish, then inhale the air underneath your hand. Drink the shot.

The Scarecrow

Fill a martini glass with ice and water to chill.

In an ice filled shaker, add:

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz lemon vodka
  • 1/2 oz orange liqueur
  • 1 oz strawberry nectar

Shake the shit out of it, empty the martini glass and strain drink into it.

Blood in the Streets

Let the following seep together in a bowl.  

  • 4 Strawberries 
  • 1 oz Lemon juice
  • 1 oz Simple syrup

Blended the mixture.

Add 3 Oz of whiskey 

Swirl around.  

Killer Croc

  • 1 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Midiori
  • 3/4 oz Lime juice
  • 1/3 oz Green Chartreuse
  • 1 Egg white.

Shake the shit to of it and strain into a cocktail glass

Spoiler Alert - Every time the character Spoiler is discussed, take a drink.  

"It's not my fault! Well... Ok... Maybe it is..." - Anytime Steph beats herself up for accidentally starting the war.  

Let me Bat-splane Ya Honey - Whenever Batman leaves people out of the loop, cuts them off, or explains to them while I’m right, take a drink. 

Damn, I’m Impressed - Every time Catwoman or Batgirl are in a fight and the villains stop to be impressed by their fighting skills, take a drink. 

Blackout Martini

  • 1 oz. Finlandia vodka
  • 0.5 oz. Peach Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz. Blue Curacao
  • 0.5 oz. Sour mix
  • 2 oz. Sprite
  • 2 oz. Cranberry Juice

Combine all ingredients into a shaker - sans cranberry juice - and pour into an iced glass.

In a separate glass, pour cranberry juice, and combine into above ingredients.

Watch the color change right before your eyes!

Grim Reaper

  • 1 oz Kahlua
  • 1 oz rum
  • 1/2 oz Grendadine
  • Ice

Fill low ball glass with ice, pour ingredients in order and drink.

Opheus’ Demise…(AMF)

  • 1/2 oz. vodka
  • 1/2 oz. rum
  • 1/2 oz. tequila
  • 1/2 oz. gin
  • 1/2 oz. blue Curaçao
  • 2 oz. of sour mix
  • 2 oz. 7-Up or ginger ale

Fill glass with ice,and add the vodka, rum, tequila,blue curacao, and gin.

Fill up with sour mix.

Add a splash of 7-up soda.

Garnish with a cherry and stir.

Dragon’s Blood

  • 3 oz Club Soda
  • 3 oz Vodka
  • 4 oz Aftershock Hot and Cool Cinnamon Schnapps

Gee, Batman’s A Dick - Everytime batman cuts someone off from talking, take a drink. 

Tarantula 

 

DIRECTIONS

  • Pour the lime juice onto a saucer Pour salt onto another saucer.
  • Dip the rim of a glass into the lime juice and then into the salt.
  • Put desired amount of ice into the glass.
  • Pour the last 4 ingredients into the glass and stir well.

The Godfather

  •   ¾ parts Amaretto
  •   1 ¼ Part Scotch
  •   Mix over ice

Mr. Freeze

  • Simple syrup
  • Shredded Coconut (to Rim glass)
  • 6 Cups of ice
  • 1/2 Cup vanilla vodka
  • 1/2 Cup blue curaçao
  • 1 cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream

Rim the glass first with shredded coconut.  place die, vodka, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and coconut cream into a blender until desired consistency is reached.  Pour into glasses and serve.

The Black Cat

  • 2 oz Kaluha
  • 2 oz Vodka
